Acting is a highly expressive and unique genre of the arts. It is a quintessentially American form of theater that relies heavily on improvisation, commercial acting, voice over, monologue and
scene study.
This class borrows techniques from modern day acting techniques and concentrates on personal and artistic expression. Instructor Cristina Elena Guzman teaches students some basic moves for expression
and then encourages them to explore the theater world and develop their own movements in reaction to it.
Students warm up with various theatre games, physical movement, and vocal exercises. Students learn monologues, scene study, character study, and improvisation. Some classes may also include comedy acting, commercial acting, and Shakespeare. The class is taught by a professional acting teacher, will teach students how to audition for film, television, and commercials. Students will also learn about invoicing, contracts, and marketing. Some students will be selected to showcased for directors, agents, and managers.
1 hour Acting Class for Kids from 4 - 12 years old
2 hour Acting Class over 13 years old - Adult
This class is suitable for children and adults of all ages and skill levels.
